Social media influencers or influencers, in general, is a term that is associated with a lot of people nowadays. If you have a decent following on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, you are considered to be an influencer.
This influence acts as a win-win situation for both the individual as well as brands that associate it with the individual. The brand approaches the individual to promote their product or service on their social media posts and these influencers do it so smartly that the audience hardly realizes it.
There’s nothing wrong with it but a lot of influencers with the goal of only making money, promote any brand without considering the after-effects on the person who would use it. They misuse the attention and loyalty that the audience has given them by promoting products that actually aren’t worth the money.
This is very common among social media influencers involved in fields such as fitness, lifestyle and health.
Let’s not talk about those who neither deserve your attention nor your loyalty. Rather let’s focus on those who can be trusted and do provide information and tips based on research, knowledge, and experience. Here’s a list of my personal favorites:
If you’re someone who is tired of the way life has turned out to be and feel that you need a lifestyle change, then you need to be following fit tuber. Most of the information he provides on his YouTube channel is based on Ayurveda and has been researched thoroughly. Fitness, eating habits, products to be used, he has all of them covered and many more.
He also has a Hindi channel which he started not a long time ago on which he does share similar information on a weekly basis just like his main channel.
Neil Patel is someone who can really help you out almost all aspects of digital marketing. He has got his own tool known as Uber Suggest which helps in identifying keywords for your website that Google is currently using.
Also, he’s got a podcast where he invites people from different aspects of online marketing like blogging, social media marketing, etc. who have provide valuable insights to their audience by sharing their experiences with them.
On his YouTube channel, he also gives away a few quick tips on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as well.
Abhi and Niyu
Abhi and Niyu bring out content that you should normally find on news channels but unfortunately, you wouldn’t. They show facts and figures relating to whatever issues are prevailing in the nation currently and also include a piece of advice for an average Indian.
They try and bring out facts and figures or sometimes even things that the government, private players, or the news doesn’t want you to know. A lot of loopholes in the current governing system have been explored by them for quite a while now. The upload videos on both YouTube and Instagram.
Beer Biceps aka Ranveer Allahbadia
Beer Biceps, the name of his YouTube channel by which he is popularly known is again a lifestyle influencer and entrepreneur. His content revolves around topics like health, fitness, personal finance, relationships and entrepreneurship.
Our post on intermittent fasting a few weeks back was inspired by his video on the same.
He also has a podcast by the name ‘The Ranveer Show’ on which he has interviewed a range of people from spirituality, entertainment, entrepreneurship, fitness, etc. He is someone you can look up to if you want to up your social media game across all platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
Jeff Cavaliere is again a social media influencer on YouTube with the name of ATHLEAN-X. He is quite different from other fitness influencers as you won’t find a lot of nonsense in his videos.
His focus is on bringing about a change in the way people train. He believes that to look like an athlete you have to train like an athlete. You can find a video on Jeff’s channel for almost any aspect of training.
Also, if you’re coming back from injury or looking to improve the condition of an injury, he has got you covered there as well.
The reason for his success can be credited to the variety that he is able to bring about in training people. If you have spent some time working out, you probably know that after a point you just can’t seem to grow, that’s where introducing a variety of minor tweaks here and there can get you going again.
Money is something that can change a lot for people, but earning money at the expense of someone’s health is not to be encouraged. People on social media with their so-called perfect lives already cause so much stress to the general public, let this not be another way of misguiding people. Once people come to know about this, they might stop trusting anyone on social media, which will lead to hard-working people at the receiving end.
